Thanks to the 100-plus people who braved the storm on Friday, 10 November to attend our event with Matthew Evans from Fat Pig Farm. The @foodconnectshed was buzzing after hearing Matthew's incredibly funny, sometimes disturbing and deeply knowledgeable take on the food we eat and the mindset required to engage in and support resilient food systems.
Did you know that only 8% of the world's population get a choice in what they eat each day? And that you should always drink your takeaway coffee with the lid off because all the flavour is in the crema? And how about this amazing fact - a billion bacteria live in just a teaspoon of soil!
You can listen to more fun facts by checking out the recording of the Q&A session below.
Thanks to Fiona and Kev from @avidreader Bookshop for providing copies of Matthew's books, Soil and the new edition of The Real Food Companion.
